EDUCATION

Access to quality education is cornerstone of a strong community. I am committed to ensuring every child in District 39 has access to high-quality education. I will advocate for increased funding for schools, smaller class sizes, and better resources for teachers and students. Our focus should be on providing a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment where all students can thrive. Additionally, I believe in emphasizing core educational values—such as critical thinking, literacy, STEM education, and life skills—to prepare students for success in an ever-changing world.

TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY

Open government is essential for a healthy democracy. I believe in transparent government operations and accountability to the people. As your representative, I will work to ensure that local government decisions are made openly and with community input. I am dedicated to holding our leaders accountable and ensuring that government actions reflect the will and best interests of the community.

STEWARDSHIP & CONSERVATION

Protecting Utah’s natural beauty and promoting sustainable practices is a top priority. I will champion policies that reduce pollution, conserve water, and protect our public lands. I believe in finding practical solutions that promote sustainability and benefit our communities. By implementing environmentally friendly practices, we can ensure a healthy future for generations to come.

Healthcare is too important to be treated like just any business. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. I will work to expand healthcare services, with a particular focus on improving women’s access to healthcare, ensuring that women in our community receive the care and support they need. I support programs that improve access and affordability for healthcare and insurance and that help patients make informed decisions about their care.

Reliable and efficient public transportation is crucial for reducing traffic congestion and providing alternatives to driving. I will work to expand and improve public transit options in District 39, with a focus on connecting West Jordan to Salt Lake City. Making transit more attractive and accessible is essential for the growth and well-being of our community. Additionally, I am committed to ensuring our roads are well-maintained and safe for all users, including pedestrians and cyclists. I will advocate for infrastructure improvements that benefit everyone in our community.
